Trending Again – Chapter 38

Si Meng was leisurely stretching her legs to the side, and her bones kept cracking. She wanted to practice dancing too, but her bones were too stiff, so she reluctantly accepted having to stretch her legs.

After stretching her legs, she went to practice her routine. A straight gaze followed Si Meng’s figure, and another gaze extended towards her along with that gaze.

Si Meng turned her head and looked at the two people. The two gazes quickly averted, pretending to be busy.

Si Meng didn’t mind and finally focused her gaze on Jiang Luli. She grasped her slender waist, and her long legs under the skirt were dazzlingly white. Her firm chest seemed to reach the clouds. Si Meng wondered if those two lumps of fat would burst through her collar.

“Um, at least 34…C?”

“Not just that, it should be 36C,” Si Meng turned her head and saw Ning Kekes murmuring next to her.

Noticing Si Meng’s gaze, Ning Keke quickly covered her mouth. Oh no, she exposed her fangirl nature again.

“If you like him, go after her!” Si Meng nudged her arm with her elbow.

“I… I’m too scared,” Ning Keke disappeared at an invisible speed, instantly hiding in a corner, burying herself in the crowd to avoid Jiang Luli’s gaze. She looked like a timid little prairie dog.

Jiang Luli’s eyes flickered with a smile. Jiang Luli seemed to love smiling, completely different from Lin Hanyue, who always had a frosty expression on her face.

“What’s wrong with her? Is she afraid of me?” Jiang Luli was puzzled. She didn’t seem to have scared this little girl before.

Si Meng smirked, looking at her with a half-smile expression. “Who knows.”

Jiang Luli looked at her chubby little face and found her mischievous expression adorable no matter how she looked at it. Well, it’s no wonder her junior sister likes her.

However, Si Meng had something else in mind. How about helping Ning Keke?

“Jiang Luli.”

“Well, big sister is here.” Jiang Luli’s eyes were filled with tenderness, like a gentle spring water.

“Do you… have a boyfriend?” Si Meng asked Jiang Luli, but her gaze glanced at Ning Keke.

“No, I don’t,” Jiang Luli played with her long hair, seemingly not understanding what Si Meng was getting at.

“Well… how about a girlfriend?” Si Meng felt slightly embarrassed, scratching her forehead awkwardly.

“Um, it seems… I don’t have one either,” Jiang Luli hesitated for a moment, but the smile in her eyes deepened.

Si Meng asked anxiously, “Then, do you mind having one?”

Jiang Luli leaned closer to Si Meng, who swallowed and stepped back until she bumped into the rail behind her, pressing against her legs. Jiang Luli propped herself with one hand on the full-length mirror behind her, and their closely pressed figures were reflected in the mirror, also reflected in Ning Keke’s eyes.

Jiang Luli let out a faint sigh, and Si Meng caught a whiff of the rich scent of roses. Jiang Luli approached Si Meng’s ear, and in a voice only they could hear, she said, “Little Si Meng, are you planning to have an affair?”

Si Meng was startled and quickly pushed her away. She knew she had misunderstood. Shaking her head, she wanted to explain but was interrupted by Jiang Luli’s voice, “You’re so adorable. How could I mind sharing you with my junior sister?”

Si Meng furrowed her brows slightly. What was she saying? Why couldn’t she understand? She came here to play matchmaker, but it felt like they were having an affair.

Jiang Luli pursed her lips and chuckled, her eyes sparkling like autumn water, curving with laughter. Si Meng followed her clearly pointed fingers and looked outside, only to see Lin Hanyue’s face growing increasingly gloomy.

“…”

Did Lin Hanyue misunderstand something?

Si Meng turned around and saw Jiang Luli laughing so hard she was clutching her stomach.

“Hahaha, did you see that? Her face looks so sour.”

“You… you’re such a mean person!” Si Meng stomped her foot in frustration and ran out to chase after Lin Hanyue. If Lin Hanyue got angry, Si Meng’s old waist wouldn’t be safe either.

After Jiang Luli had her fill of laughter, she shifted her gaze towards Ning Keke, who had been stealing glances at her. Jiang Luli beckoned with her finger, like a mischievous fox enticing a little bunny. Ning Keke obediently walked over, hopping along.

Jiang Luli was a head taller than Ning Keke, so she had to bend down and wrap her arms around the little girl’s shoulders. Ning Keke dared not move, her earlobes were already blushing red, and she heard the voice of Jiang Luli that she had longed for day and night, saying, “After class, remember to come to my office.”

Jiang Luli blinked her eyes, and Ning Keke nodded blankly. Even after Jiang Luli left, she thought she was dreaming. She pinched herself and felt the pain before happily bouncing off to practice dancing.

Si Meng watched Lin Hanyue, who was surrounded by a crowd like a star among stars, feeling anxious. She wanted to explain things to Lin Hanyue, but the timing and setting weren’t quite right.

Si Meng stared at her with a pitiful expression, as if on the verge of tears. Lin Hanyue couldn’t resist her anymore and looked at her with indulgent eyes, silently conveying a message with her lips.

Si Meng smiled, understanding the message from her lips. Lin Hanyue said, “Find me tonight.”

Does that mean Lin Hanyue isn’t angry anymore? Wow, but her happiness lasted less than three seconds when she saw Lin Hanyue add another sentence, “Double tonight.”

Si Meng widened her eyes in disbelief. What? Double!!! Sob, it’s better to let her die in bed.

Back at the cafeteria, Si Meng was listless, as if she had lost her soul. Jiang Chixia glanced at her and, after receiving her consent, happily finished Si Meng’s meal as well. She was a carefree person without worries.

Ning Keke was also nowhere to be found. She hadn’t returned during the lunch break. Si Meng sluggishly picked at her food, while Fu Wenwen ran around in anger. Only Jiang Chixia earnestly ate everyone’s leftovers.

“Mengmeng, I’m so angery, ahhh!”

Si Meng thought to herself, “Is there any day when you’re not angry?”

Indeed, Fu Wenwen was like a walking gas can, always ready to ignite and explode at any moment.

“It’s Hua Qianxin, that guy. She’s clearly part of our team, but she ran off to Class A,” Fu Wenwen said intermittently, her anger causing her to hiccup.

“Yeah, the fifth person who never showed up for our team?” Si Meng asked.

Fu Wenwen nodded, gritting her teeth and said, “She’s actually quite capable, with good skills in all aspects. She could have joined Class A. But she was late during the audition, and now she looks down on people.”

Si Meng looked at Jiang Chixia, who was still struggling with a meat bun. With a mouthful of bun, Jiang Chixia mumbled unclearly, “They have a grudge against each other. Hua Qianxin says Wenwen jumps like a square dance auntie and sings like a silly dog.”

“Pfft, haha.” Si Meng couldn’t hold back from laughing.

“You’re still laughing? No, you have to help me reclaim my territory,” Si Meng was forcibly dragged to intervene and watched as she got into an argument with the girl named Hua Qianxin.

Hua Qianxin had short hair, resembling that of a boy. The bluish-gray color of her hair stood out under the lights, and combined with her pale face, it was quite eerie.

She was dressed in a hip-hop style, with chains dangling and jingling with her dance movements. As soon as she saw Fu Wenwen rushing in, she immediately stopped and assumed a defensive stance.

“Fu Wenwen, stay away! There’s no need to stir up trouble!” She screamed, hiding behind a pillar.

“You traitor! I’m going to beat you to death!” Fu Wenwen chased after her around the pillar.

Hua Qianxin circled around the pillar and hid behind Si Meng. Meanwhile, Fu Wenwen faced Si Meng, and the two of them spun around Si Meng in circles.

Si Meng felt dizzy as she held onto one of them in each hand, dragging them out of Class A like she was carrying little chicks.

Si Meng crossed her arms and observed Hua Qianxin, saying, “What’s going on with you? How did you end up in Class A?”

“Hmph, traitor,” Fu Wenwen reached out as if to strike.

Hua Qianxin dodged and made a funny face, saying, “No, no, there’s no traitor. It’s nonsense. Today was my first day of training, and I got lost. Then I saw them battling, and I couldn’t help but join in. After winning, they let me stay and play here. I guess they thought I was a new student in their class?”

Fu Wenwen grabbed her hair and fiercely said, “See? You clearly did it on purpose. Otherwise, how could they think you were a new student in their class?”

Hua Qianxin also grabbed her hair and they started grappling with each other. “I don’t believe that for a second!”

With the situation cleared up, it became apparent that these two were just looking for an excuse to fight. Si Meng quietly watched from the side, while Jiang Chixia handed her a small bag of melon seeds. Si Meng happily cracked open the seeds and started munching on them.

After they had fought enough, the two childish troublemakers reluctantly followed Si Meng back to the dormitory. Coincidentally, their beds were arranged as top and bottom bunks. Si Meng couldn’t help but think mischievously, “If they have another conflict, will they end up fighting from the top bunk to the bottom?”

As night fell, everyone crawled into their own beds. They were all exhausted from the day’s ordeal, and soon, intermittent snores could be heard in the room.

Si Meng cautiously stuck her head out and confirmed that everyone was asleep. She then stealthily crouched down and went to find Lin Hanyue. It was pitch black outside, and Si Meng didn’t dare to turn on the light, perhaps due to a guilty conscience. Suddenly, her right leg tripped on something, causing her to lunge forward.

Lin Hanyue reached out and embraced her slender waist, pulling her into her embrace. Si Meng widened her eyes as Lin Hanyue’s soft lips pressed against hers. She slightly parted her lips, and the other person took the opportunity to enter, their tongues entwining.

Before long, Si Meng’s chest was touched by a cold finger, causing her to shiver sensitively. She tried to push away that hand, but her wrist was firmly held by the other person.

“Lin Hanyue… Mmm.”

“Hmm? What’s wrong?”

“Let’s go back to the room first. What if someone sees us… What should we do?” Si Meng’s legs felt weak from the kiss, and she collapsed into Lin Hanyue’s embrace.

“Hehe, it’s pitch black here. Who would see you?” Lin Hanyue said with her mouth, but she still dutifully carried Si Meng back to her room. Each instructor had a separate room, and Lin Hanyue’s room was right across from Jiang Luli’s.

Jiang Luli, who was holding garbage and preparing to throw it away, was taken aback. With one hand on her waist, she teasingly said, “Junior sister, you should control yourself. Tomorrow in dance class, I might just call you out by name~”

Her tone elongated, adding a touch of ambiguity. Naturally, she said it for Si Meng to hear. Si Meng was embarrassed to the point of burying her face in Lin Hanyue’s chest. It felt like they were caught in a secret rendezvous by their teacher.

Lin Hanyue coldly glanced at Jiang Luli and disdainfully said, “I switched classes. You’ll be teaching Class A for the next week.”

Jiang Luli inwardly cursed Lin Hanyue for being stingy and then returned to her room to prepare for class. The “good students” in Class A were so annoying, constantly asking questions left and right. If she didn’t prepare well, she might end up being rendered speechless by their inquiries.

“Alright, don’t be shy. No one will disturb us anymore,” Lin Hanyue said with a smile, completely different from her cold demeanor earlier.

“What… what are these?” Si Meng innocently looked at the props by the bed.

Lin Hanyue pounced on Si Meng, deeply inhaling the fragrance of her collarbone. Si Meng tightly gripped the bedsheet, feeling the weight pressing against her.

“They’re just some little toys that can make you doubly happy,” Lin Hanyue said as she unzipped and unbuttoned…
