Plan A
Old Shadows of the Republic of China 13
What does it have to do with me?
Su Xin tilted her head, and her burning lips touched.
Shen Xiangting was very confused and agitated. It wasn’t that she hadn’t seen this sort of thing before; she had once witnessed it live and then used a gun to send that traitor to hell. At that time, she had only one thought: her eyes were dirtied, and it was very disgusting.
Shen Xiangting still retained some rationality and knew who the woman lifting her head to kiss her was.
“Zhizhi…?”
Su Xin took advantage of her speaking to open her mouth, attacking the city and seizing ground, dissolving the sharpness between her brows.
Inside Shen Xiangting’s Chinese-Western style small villa, there is a small pond, which she seems to be fond of.
In the pond, two red koi fish are raised. They intertwine playfully, their bodies intimately close, sometimes moving away, sometimes chasing, stirring up splashes of water and emitting slight sounds in the quiet night.
Su Xin licked away the traces of water from the edge of her lips and, unable to support herself, fell sitting down on the wooden board.
Shen Xiangting was leaning on Su Xin, so when Su Xin fell, she also lost her balance.
“Zhizhi…”
Shen Xiangting’s eyes regained some clarity as she pushed her sweat-damp hair aside and leaned on Su Xin’s body.
“Xiangting.”
Shen Xiangting closed her eyes, her forehead tightly pressed against Su Xin’s.
“Zhizhi.”
Her voice was hoarse, and the corner of her clothes was pulled into wrinkles by her.
When Su Xin first moved into Shen Xiangting’s house, she felt that the place was very beautiful, and it was evident that the owner of the house took great care of everything here.
What Su Xin liked most was Shen Xiangting’s garden, which was as beautiful as a fairyland.
She couldn’t identify what kind of flowers they were, but their smell was very fragrant, and their shape was very beautiful, attracting people to admire them.
The garden’s fence was white, with a special texture, and when the light reflected off it, there was a peculiar softness to it.
Black fine grass grew on the fence, and Shen Xiangting said the design was intentional. She didn’t know why, but the white fence and black fine grass were meant to accompany each other, and although they could be separated, ordinary families wouldn’t do so.
Su Xin walked into the garden, touching those beautiful flowers that emitted a strange fragrance, and sometimes, on a whim, she would even hold a petal in her mouth to eat.
In the garden’s center, there was the most peculiar flower, which was Shen Xiangting’s most cherished, and only Su Xin could see it.
Small and about to bloom, it looked very fragile, easily breaking with just one push.
Su Xin used her hand to touch it and accidentally probed into the bud, causing the flower to begin to bloom, yet it flowed out red juice.
Shen Xiangting let out a cry of heartache and pain, and Su Xin, somewhat annoyed, looked apologetically at her friend.
As an exchange and compensation, Su Xin took Shen Xiangting to her secret base.
Shen Xiangting seemed very interested in Su Xin’s secret place, touching everything with great curiosity.
Su Xin laughed beside her, gasping, as she led Shen Xiangting to explore her secret realm little by little.
Inside the secret realm, Shen Xiangting discovered a candy, tore open the wrapper, and began to eat it.
Su Xin had originally planned to give the candy to Shen Xiangting as a surprise, but she didn’t expect Shen Xiangting to find it herself, sulking and shivering.
“Zhizhi.”
Shen Xiangting called Su Xin’s name, her eyes bright as she looked at Su Xin.
Su Xin grabbed her long hair, tears staining the corners of her eyes.
“It hurts a lot.”
“Sorry, I…”

Shen Xiangting was also very confused, as she had clearly followed Su Xin’s steps, but her girl showed signs of pain.
“Your technique is too poor.”
Su Xin cried out, shouting, shi*t, it hurts like hell!
“I’ll help you blow on it, let the pain fly away, I will try harder.”
Su Xin kicked her, and just now the two of them had already moved from the door to the bed, since no one likes sleeping on the floor.
“Shen Xiangting, I’m 22 years old, not two!”
Still talking about making the pain fly away, like coaxing a child?
The east turns white as the sun slowly yet firmly rises, following its eternal, unchanging path.
Shen Xiangting had a nap and woke up completely sober. She sat at the head of the bed, looking out the window, and suddenly wanted to smoke a cigarette to calm her current mood, but she doesn’t smoke.
Last night was very chaotic; she was actually half sober later, but still couldn’t help diving in.
That feeling was a bit strange, as if she simply couldn’t control herself, indulging in the immersion.
Shen Xiangting remembers that it was Su Xin who kissed her first.
Why?
In that situation, she could have completely thrown her off, let her go take a cold shower, and it would have been fine.
Why lift her head, and why kiss her, and why do that kind of thing with her…
Shen Xiangting thought a lot in her mind, but it also seemed like she thought nothing.
How to handle this situation in the future… Shen Xiangting looked at the traces on the bed; they had possessed each other, offered their innocence, so must they take responsibility for each other?
Shen Xiangting kept dazing until Su Xin woke up.
Su Xin rubbed her shoulder and saw Shen Xiangting sitting by her side, staring at her. Su Xin raised her hand and calmly greeted her.
“Xiangting, morning.”
Su Xin yawned and began to look for her clothes.
“Do you have something you want to say to me?”
Shen Xiangting did not expect her reaction to be so calm, as if nothing had happened last night.
“For example?”
Su Xin stopped dressing, tilted her head, and looked at Shen Xiangting.
“This… and last night, why didn’t you push me away?”
Shen Xiangting pointed to the red on the bed, which symbolized them both.
“Nothing to say, it’s just as you see now. As for why I wanted to kiss you, you look good, so I kissed you. Do I still need a reason?”
Su Xin shrugged, indifferent.
Does this kind of thing, similar to a one-night stand, need a reason?
Isn’t it just because you look good, so I wanted to have something with you?
Shen Xiangting slightly widened her eyes, not as relaxed as Su Xin.
“Just like this?”
“Otherwise, and your technique is really not good. Although you improved a bit later, it still caused be pain.”
Su Xin put on her clothes and wore her shoes.
Shen Xiangting’s expression twisted for an instant, then returned to normal.
“Think openly, don’t be so tense. Just consider it as me helping you with a favor, and you helped me with one too, that’s all.”

Su Xin looked at the still dumbfounded Shen Xiangting. Usually, this girl seems smart and intimidating, so how is she so dazed now?
“I helped you with a favor?”
Shen Xiangting asked confusedly, wondering if last night Su Xin also had an issue, but there wasn’t any.
“Mm, does solving needs count or not? This way is quite good, it won’t feel disgusting, and there won’t be any pregnancy.”
Su Xin waved at Shen Xiangting, opened the door, and walked out.
Shen Xiangting looked at the messy bed, took a deep breath, and went to the washroom.
Days still pass the same, without big changes. Various situations involve everywhere, pulling one hair affects the whole body, and no one will act rashly.
But for Su Xin and Shen Xiangting, the days have some different aspects.
Shen Xiangting is still busy every day with her own career, maneuvering among various forces, and expanding her own strength.
Su Xin remains her right-hand person, responsible for many tasks, occasionally drawing and contemplating things.
But in the deep silence of the night, a woman powerful enough to influence a region and her remarkable confidant capable of causing chaos will lie on the same bed, engaging in activities of the adult world.
Shen Xiangting is exceptionally talented; she learns everything quickly and is highly competitive, always striving to be number one. Thus, even in that area, she continuously enhances her skills, leaving Su Xin speechless.
The servants at home are more aware of their relationship and show increasing respect towards Su Xin.
Su Xin rubbed her eyes, holding a telegram sent from her family in her hand.
It was sent by Wei Ting, and the general message was that the second concubine was seriously ill, asking her to return home to visit.
The second concubine does not know what Su Xin is truly doing, but Wei Ting knows. Since he said seriously ill, then it certainly is serious.
After all, it is the birth mother of this body, and it is not possible to ignore it if she is seriously ill.
Su Xin folded the telegram neatly and placed it in her pocket, pondering how to request leave from Shen Xiangting.
When returning home, Su Xin discovered that many people had a cheerful appearance.
“What happened? What good news do you have that makes you all so happy?”
Su Xin pulled a servant aside to inquire.
“Miss Wei, it’s a truly great event.”
The servant, smiling, clearly explained the situation.
Su Xin nodded, indicating that she understood.
Shen Xiangting was going to get married.
The groom is the son of another powerful force, and if they form an alliance, it would be a fatal blow to the other side.
Su Xin had met that man before; he seemed quite impressive.
Su Xin went upstairs and knocked on Shen Xiangting’s room door.
“Zhizhi, I have something I want to tell you.”
Shen Xiangting stood in front of her, looking somewhat uneasy.
“I know you are getting married. You don’t need to worry; our relationship will end after you marry. Since you’re getting married, live well.”
Shen Xiangting’s expression froze, and her face turned cold.
“You don’t mind that I’m getting married?”
“Why should I mind?”
Su Xin didn’t understand.
“But aren’t we… you know I’m just playing along?”
Shen Xiangting looked at Su Xin urgently.
(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)
“Ah… so it was just playing along. But I think he seems quite good, perhaps a good choice.”
Su Xin said.
“Are you really not angry at all?”
Shen Xiangting raised her voice, clenching the table corner.
“What’s there to be angry about? Your marriage is your business, what does it have to do with me?”
Su Xin blinked her eyes, looking quite innocent.
Shen Xiangting observed Su Xin’s expression and found that she was genuinely serious about this statement, not speaking ironically. She didn’t know why, but her anger rose, yet her heart felt cold.
What a statement, what does it have to do with me!
“Anyway, I will bless you. But if it’s just playing along, remember to maintain boundaries. After all, you’re so excellent, what if that person takes it seriously?”
Su Xin added with a smile.
Shen Xiangting’s heart silently held some expectation, and her mood strangely improved a bit.
“By the way, I have something to tell you. My mother is seriously ill, and I want to request leave to go back for a while, the return date is uncertain. Don’t think I’m nagging. Although who you marry has nothing to do with me, I hope you take it seriously.”
Who you marry has nothing to do with me.
How can you smile while saying these words?
